Emma swam towards Mako Island, feeling then need to go there after work. She tried to call Cleo and Rikki, but Cleo was working and Rikki wasn't answering her phone. Rikki, might of been at the Moon Pool, she did like to go there often so maybe she would get lucky, and have someone to talk to. Though, it didn't bother Emma to much. She loved swimming in the ocean with the fish, and dolphins. It was amazing to her, and probably to her friends as well. Emma ran her hand across a dolphin that decided he wanted to swim next to her, smiling at the creature as she heard it squeal.
Swimming slowly into the under water tunnel that lead to the Moon Pool, Emma could see a blurry outline of a tail. One, she first thought. It had to of been Rikki. Surfacing, Emma's eyes widened as she realized it wasn't. It wasn't Cleo, or Rikki. But a woman. A mermaid. Emma was confused, and didn't know what to say, but calmed when she saw Rikki on the other side of the pool. Did Rikki know her? How long had the woman been a mermaid? Did Ms. Chatham know her? Emma stopped asking herself questions. It would get her no where.

The way I see it, you're not in a tank at some zoo or in some lab... Or even in a straight jacket. So I'd say your secret is pretty secure at the moment. Rikki nodded, half-smiling. She might as well have been in any of those situations if it weren't for the lunar eclipse the night Doctor Denman got a hold of her and her friends. "Yeah," she commented, leaning against the large rock she had originally been leaning on when she first got there. She had adjusted her position a lot evidently. Water? In the ocean? Since when? Rikki rolled her blue eyes, biting her tongue in order to keep from snapping at Eleanor again. The woman knew what she meant, so why aggravate Rik when she was so easy to set off? I'm sorry. Of course I used water. It was perfectly timed to ensure no mermaid exposure. They were on the pier anyway, so it wasn't like I dragged her from the JuiceNet.
"Sure you're sorry," Rikki mumbled under her breath, crossing her arms again. She only briefly nodded when Eleanor said that there wasn't any mermaid exposure. The blond began to twirl some of her hair again, trying to think of something else to say. Maybe it would be appropriate to leave at that time? She could say that she needed to get home before her dad got suspicious. Rikki opened her mouth to say her excuse to leave, but then she was stopped when unexpectedly, Emma, her friend Emma, swam in the moon pool as well. "Emma?" she questioned dumbly, letting her arms fall back to her side. She bit her lower lip, knowing that Emma would be curious to why there was another person with a tail in her presence. "Er, Eleanor, this is Emma."

Eleanor panicked instinctively when she saw a fuzzy shape coming through the underwater tunnel. She calmed slightly when she saw it was another mermaid. Then Rikki introduced her. So this was Emma, the girl with Lilly's power.
...And the whole "hey look it's another mermaid" thing wasn't going over well, if the look on the poor girl's face was anything to go by. Really, people should stop being so surprised when these things happen. If there was more than one group of supernatural beings living in one area, they were bound to meet up eventually.
"Uh, hello." She smiled. "I'm Eleanor Byrne. I, uh, found this place years ago."

Although Emma was still-shocked, she nodded. Another mermaid? It was obvious that the woman of course was a mermaid, but how? Did, Eleanor, as Rikki introduced become a mermaid at Mako Island like they did? That was a stupid question though. Of course she did. The tail was the same color. She was at the Moon Pool in the first place. "Uh yea." Emma stammered, but continued. "I am Emma. Nice to meet you, Eleanor." She finished, still confused at the sight of another mermaid. It was so unbelievably strange.
Looking over at Rikki, Emma wasn't sure how long her friend had been here with Eleanor. Though, she did look a bit irritated, not that it was surprising. Emma just hoped that she wasn't like Charlotte. She didn't seem to act so, and the woman had to be more mature then that. If she wasn't, it would just be foolish, but hilarious that she still acted like a selfish girl. Eleanor looked nice, though. Emma would just have to find out for herself.

Eleanor smiled. She was doing her best to come off as non-threatening, despite the obvious tension her presence was creating. She almost thought it would have been better to meet the others as a human - although proving she wasn't a crazy stalker would have probably been just as difficult, if not more so.
"So, er, how long have you two had your fins? If you don't mind my asking, of course," she added hastily. "I wouldn't want to offend. It's just that it seems to me that there are mermaids in every generation, even though we all want to keep the secret." She twirled a black lock of hair around her finger. "I'm wondering if something about the full moon and Mako draws girls here every twenty or so years."

Rikki scratched her head innocently at Emma's bewildered expression, feeling the need to say something but not sure what. Her friend had the same look that Rikki had when she had saw Eleanor. The blond looked down, trying to act as if she weren't the cause of this - which she wasn't. She didn't want Emma thinking that she had randomly pushed Eleanor into the moon pool during a full moon because of her "anger control issues". But, even though she hated it, Rikki knew that it was possible for Emma to jump to conclusions. Momentarily, Rikki's eyes flickered to Emma, who still looked rather shocked. She looked at Eleanor, who was smiling - it looked like she was trying to break the tension. Rikki sighed loudly, then rose her head after Eleanor spoke.
So, er, how long have you two had your fins? If you don't mind my asking, of course. "Well, almost a year now," she replied, scratching her neck. She had known that Emma wouldn't answer. "I don't exactly remember. It's been...a while, at least. Long enough for all of the events that I've told you about to happen," Rikki added, looking at Emma the whole time with a facial expression that said, "Calm down. It's okay."

Although Emma was still reluctant, her facial expressions softened, and she had a very slight grin across her lips. The idea was just not getting to her. There was another mermaid. She was in her late twenties, early thirties, sure, but there was another mermaid. Would there be anymore after her? Where there more people in the gold coast that has discovered the moon pool on a full moon? No...there was probably only Eleanor, Rikki, Cleo, and Emma. Eleanor must of been a mermaid for a while. When Emma had become a mermaid, every time she saw her own tail she stared at it for what seemed like hours. Why hadn't she seen Eleanor before, though?
Once the woman asked a question, Emma didn't know how to answer. Sure, she knew what to say, but how to say it was a different story. Good thing Rikki said something before there was yet another awkward silence between the three. Emma wondered what Cleo would of thought about it. She probably would of been glad as long as she wasn't like Charlotte. "Yea, probably about a year." Emma confirmed, remembering the day they first became mermaids. Emma glanced over at Rikki, giving her a knowing look after she told her to calm down. She was calm.
