"Baby, is something wrong?"
"No darling. Lets rest."
"You look pale, and you feel so cold."
"I love you."
Like a pin through thread the fangs slid on in and the blood rushed warm across her face. His body fell into her grasping arms, his nerves tensed and twitched and the colors in his eyes faded away. He, himself, faded away into a land of make believe. In her mind the words continued to repeat, I did the right thing. He wouldn't of survived. I did the right thing. Over and over the words played like a scratched cd. Tears frozen in the eyes and a howl erupted forth into the night. The war had begun.
The world had appeared so calm. After 2010 when the plague rushed through and wiped out over half the population, people thought they were safe again. The cure what found for the horrid disease that wiped out many. Yet this, this stir in silence, was no disease. A plague? Perhaps.
Jaws stretched to reveal two inch canines. Nose curled as the snarl took place and the foam slowly eased out of the mouth. A violent shake of a roar came from the beast. The lycan. I stood before him. I knew not who he truly was, the person behind the mask of this beast. Was he one in which I knew? One in which I have conversed with along the roads? I couldn't care to think, the blade sunk in, his carcass shifted into the shape of a man. A man I knew quite well.
Emotions? Feelings? Rid yourself of those.
If you're a vampire dare not to love a mortal.
If you're a mortal dare not to befriend a lycan. If you're a lycan dare not to come near others.
When a horrible plague wiped out most of the world vampires and lycans went into hiding. They grouped together and ignored any other that they did not know. Mortals were seemingly nonexistent. However, word traveled that in a small town tucked away in the woods of Oregon a town of mortals still thrived. The vampires emerged from their hiding and came into this town. Most cared to live the life of a normal human being. Although the people knew of vampires they cared not unless anything stirred, unless anyone vanished, the vampires were free to be treated as mortals. Together the people and the vampires moved throughout the streets, never telling any difference in one another. However, the howl of a creature so much more venomous than a wolf itself called into the night. Blood leaked the gutters of town. It sent people into pure fright. Vampires were banished. Any to be found as one was slaughtered immediately. The deaths did not stop. Blood drenched parts of town. Furious that the vampires were blamed for a massacre not created by them they swore vengeance on who ever was killing innocent lives.
"Allo there puppy dog."
And the secrets came forth. Lycans haunted the town. They slipped on in and through day appeared as perfect as a person itself and then not by their own choice, of the night their figures shifted into the of a horrid killing machine. The people of town did not believe this tale from the vampires. They continued to keep them banished from the town.
The people fear the vampires. The vampires despise the lycans. The lycans fear their secret being told.
Vampires, keep your secret to yourself. If found you shall be slaughtered. Lycans, do not let your feelings grow for anyone. At any moment you could lash out &kill the one you care for.
