In the year 1954, a new political party began sweeping throughout the Wizarding World. Known as the Death Eaters, this band of pureblood loyalists fought for a new world, one in which their pureblood superiority reigned supreme. Ruthless in their endeavors, the Death Eaters quickly swept onto the scene, becoming powerful and influential within the Ministry of Magic and the world at large. With one of the brightest and most powerful wizards to grace the world in decades as their leader (See Lord Voldermort) and an acute ability to warp the truth through political propaganda to their own favor it didn’t take long for the Death Eaters to take complete control over their own world.
By 1957, Lord Voldermort was appointed The Supreme Minister of Magic and within a few short years the wizarding world as we know it in our own universe was a parody of itself. Muggle Borns and Half Bloods began mysteriously ‘disappearing’ and those of ‘noble’ or ‘clean’ blood became figureheads in a corrupted and ruthless society. There was a short stint of ‘rebellion’ in the early sixties by a rag tag group of wizards that called themselves ‘The Order’ but the political hold the Deat Eaters had was too great to overcome. Within months ‘The Order’ members were either killed or sent to Azkaban, never to be heard again.
Forty years later and the Wizarding World is one of plenty. Wizard and Witches live within a society where ‘muggles’ is a filthy world and supremacy runs high. Two generations of ‘Magical people’ have grown up beneath the rule of Lord Voldermort and have no idea of muggle relations or equality. Their world is one of rose colored glasses, where everything is black and white and there are very little gray areas. They are wizards, they are better then muggles, end of story. The idea of Muggle borns attending Hogwarts is simply unheard of and those that chose to marry those of no magical ability are either shunned from their society or are killed. There is no uprising and there are no shouts of ‘equality’ for all men because it simply does not exist to them. In whole, it is exactly the world Lord Voldermort always dreamed of.
However a new plan has been instituted within the Higher Levels of the Death Eaters. After the complete take over of the Wizarding World back in the fifties, Lord Voldermort instituted a decree that all Wizarding families must conceive at least three children, to replenish their ‘pure bloodlines’. A great plan then, but now it is clearly becoming one of disaster. Cousins are now marring cousins, blood intermixing with close relation and some children are now being born with very little magical power or are complete squibs! In a way to take control of the breeding within his world, Lord Voldermort constructed a list, one in to further ‘purify’ the race of Wizards, a list which would not allow those to choose their mates. All in all, Lord Voldermort plans to pair off the next generation of Wizards once their graduate Hogwarts! Although ‘arranged marriages’ are not unheard of within their world, it has never been done to such an extent before.
What will happen when these children find out their fate? Will they simply bend to his will, taking their own fate with a grain of salt and a pinched smile? Or will they rebel? Whatever will happen, it is clear that this new decree will be a recipe for disaster !
