italy has played a major role in the art history of the world. from michelangelo's david to botticelli's the birth of venus, italy has made quite a name for itself in the visual arts. it is only natural that a school would be put in place to train all keen art students to the best of their abilities. cue the copabella school of the arts. the school has four major locations: venice, rome, tuscany and florence.
what is a major art school without drama ? meet the robinsons - a well to do family with lineage back to some of the masters of art. the robinsons are quite a large family with connections from all over the world. they only support the venice location of the copabella school, because their family has gone there since it opened. in their eyes, they are the epitome of art in italy - more influencial, even, than the medici family of late, who comissioned works such as the doge's palace in venice. everything in their lives is perfect - aside from the minor problem of the rolph's.
the rolph family is just as large as the robinsons, although not as famous or as rich. they only support the tuscany location, for quite the same reason that the robinsons only support the venice location. their only real claim to fame is the huge fued going on between themselves and the robinsons. neither family can stand one another, and some members of each family would go as far as physical violence in public. everyone else in both families, and their connections, prefer to stick to verbal abuse - all, except lachlan james robinson and violet vivienne rolph.
it's romeo and juliet all over again - lachlan and violet are young and in love. lachlan attends copabella in venice, and violet tuscany. they're both first years with a professional career in the theatre in their sights. students often find themselves on airplanes to all the campus' of copabella regularly, so lachlan and violet have no trouble seeing each other regularly - and in secret. if their families found out, all hell would break loose - and when it does, will they be able to stop themselves before it is too late ?
